Training

I have been running my own private practice since 2001, having gained an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I have a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I also work as a Life Coach and can help you to work on personal and professional life goals. I have a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I have also been trained in couples counselling.

My service also involves supervising other counsellors, in line with the professional and ethical requirements of the BACP. I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Transpersonal and Integrative Supervision and I have experience in working with supervisees through their accreditation process.

Previously I have worked on a day programme for people with drug and alcohol problems. This has given me invaluable experience and insight into working with underlying problems such as unresolved relationship issues, depression and anxiety.

I have taught counselling skills courses at the University of Kent, Canterbury and at an open prison in the Isle of Sheppey, I enjoy working with students, on their path of personal growth.

In the past, I have worked at a large doctor's surgery, specializing in anxiety, stress and depression.

I have experience in working in the following areas:

  • Addiction
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Couples counselling
  • Depression
  • Divorce and Separation
  • Personal development
  • Relationship issues
  • Self confidence
