Anxiety & Stress
Do you remember the famous saying by Forest Gump, “Life is like a box of chocolates” - you don't know what you are going to get and you don't know if you are going to like it - how true!
Our lives are full of uncertainties and everyone has challenges, both personally and professionally. We are built to manage a certain level of stress and indeed it can be energising, but if we are overloaded, the stress will turn into distress.
I have an extensive background working with anxiety and stress-related issues, whether it's at work or at home, with 16 years' experience in this field.
I feel privileged to have worked with many people who have gained valuable insights through counselling to enable them to turn their lives around.
I would like to help you, at your pace, deal with the stress that is making you feel either angry, fearful, upset or confused. Together we will explore your problem and find a way through it.
Below are some examples of the issues that I deal with in my practice. Do you identify with any of the following...
“I don't feel like I'm coping, and I don't know how to make it any better.”
“I worry all the time”.
“I feel so stressed that I often end up getting angry. I've no tolerance and people tell me to calm down.”
“I'm struggling at work to keep it together.”
“My relationship is stressing me out and I can't go on like this”.
“When I get overwhelmed by things, I'm told I'm being too sensitive and to get over it. I feel like an alien.”
“I hate the panic attacks – the way my heart pounds, feeling dizzy, faint and hot. I feel out of control”.
“I feel pulled in different directions. I try to please everyone except myself.”
...and there are many more examples.
Problems, such as these, can be agonizing – but life can be different and I would like to invite you to look at your problem with me, giving you the opportunity to set yourself free and move towards a more fulfilling future.
